There are 2 projects where alumni in and around chennai can get involved.

One is a welders training for 35 days.

We need help in locating30 students from below poverty level from the age of 19 to 28. They will be trained in gugukulam residential paniit welding school in kanchi disrict and placed in auto industy as interns at rs 4000/pm. no initial charge for the training. Boarding. lodging and all training at no cost. The candidates once they are placed expected to reimburse rs 5000 at rs 1000 pm. They get central government proficiency certificate when they complete the course in 35 days after a test. and after 6 months paniit welder certificate. This school has already placed 170 candidates in a year.

We also need candidates for a construction gurukulam near Marakkanam.First set of 27 candidates have taken up a job for 6000 in kerala.

A  second help is a donation of rs 1 lakhs per month to run the school from industries in the area who want to hire these welders are welcome .
